The distribution, density and variety of small mammals on Mogalakwena Reserves are not well known. A unique opportunity is available to undertake studies on aspects of small mammal distribution across habitats, while adding to the records of mammal species on Mogalakwena Reserves. This project provides opportunities to develop mammal and vegetation identification and classification skills, and can be taken further as part of an Honours program to analyse local land-use (reserve, irrigation cropping, rural village) on small mammal populations.
